Great diner for breakfast, we live nearby and go at least once a week. Get the homemade honey oat bread with your breakfast

Fast friendly service and the food was great. Came back the same day for desert and coffee

I believe that breakfast food is the heart of the American Dream (though it does lead to heart disease of the American). To enjoy a morning meal in a restaurant is a privilege and a special occasion. Every time that I have sought the Lord's morning munchies, I have been satisfied as the very least. My streak of enjoyable breakfasts ended TODAY at Rosie's. My girlfriend and I arbitrarily selected this establishment as our food vendor this morning. We put trust in this establishment. The staff was friendly, but it seemed like they might be hiding something. That something was the vegetable omelet we ordered. I could try and be more creative here, but I'll cut to the chase - it was tasteless. The tomatoes (a fruit) dominated over the unsauteed mushrooms and onions. The texture of the eggs was rubbery. Our omelet was preceded by monkey bread which was sweet but lacked personality. I want to go bananas over my monkey bread. I was let down. Overall, I was full by the end, but it was tough getting through that omelet, about as tough as Season 3 of Homeland. I'm glad I did it, but man, not much of a payoff at the end. My review is limited to this part of the menu, so don't let it hinder you from trying other items. But man, I feel like I should expect some TLC in my meal from a place called Rosie's.

Rosie's appears to be a popular family restaurant in south Middlebury VT. We ate breakfast there on our way home after a family visit. The servings are ample, tasty and reasonably priced. I had one of their signature "puffy" omelettes that contained a delightfully fresh (only lightly cooked) filling. My partners had equally excellent meals (we skipped lunch!). Service was very friendly and crisp.

Great local breakfast spot. Laid back and casual. Always hopping but big enough that you don't usually have to wait for a table. Good food, reasonable prices. Recommend the homemade honey oat toast, and the breakfast sandwich on an English muffin. The bacon used to be the best in the world; I wish they'd bring back their old supplier. Now it's average but they'll cook it to order if you want it crispy. And of course, pancakes are served with REAL maple syrup with no upcharge, because it's Vermont and that's how it should be.
